For short urban journeys, e-mobility options make a whole load of sense. But up until now, electric bikes and scooters have done little to wow the modern motorcyclist with their somewhat dated aesthetic styling.
But just when you thought things weren’t moving in the right direction, our friends at Husqvarna released their latest concepts for the future of urban e-mobility and we were more than impressed!
The e-mobility space is natural progression for a pioneering brand like Husqvarna. The latest concepts offer a tantalizing vision of what the swedish brands move in the eclectic urban mobility arena will look like.
The E-Pilen Concept electric motorcycle
Inspired by the pioneering design of the successful Vitpilen and Svartpilen models, the E-Pilen Concept was Husqvarna’s first electric concept release.
With a power output of 8 kW and a range of 100 km the E-Pilen Concept has clearly been developed with the urban commuter and leisure rider in mind, with a range that maximises the time between battery charges.
Currently The E-Pilen Concept features a modular and swappable battery system allowing the power pack to be exchanged, extending the appeal and utility of electric motorcycles to those considering the switch.
According to Husqvarna the E-mobility range is already well advanced, with further information set to be released in the very near future.
The Vektorr Concept electric scooter
The stylish, minimalist Vektorr is Husqvarna’s first ever electric scooter. Aimed primarily at environmentally conscious urban dwellers, the scooter offers a stylish personal transportation solution for a busy lifestyle.
Styled and ridden like a conventional scooter, the Vektorr Concept will deliver a top speed of 45 km/h and offer a range of up to 95 km.
The Bltz Concept stand-up scooter
The Bltz concept takes stand-up scooter design to the next level. Offering clean, quiet and quick transportation from a to b, this comfortable stand-up scooter embodies Husqvarna’s commitment to progressive, innovative and stylish product design.
Although the e-mobility range is well advanced, your only chance to see these concepts in the flesh in the near future is to pay a visit to the PIERER Mobility AG special exhibition in the KTM Motohall in Mattighofen, Austria.
