Battling thick mud and torrential rain prior to qualifying, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Star Thomas Covington has finished second in the MX2 class at the GP of Indonesia.
Aboard his Husqvarna FC 250, the American powered his way to an impressive holeshot in the first moto, never looking back, claiming a wire to wire victory. A poor start in the second moto forced Covington to battle his way through the pack, eventually crossing the line in 4th to claim second place overall.
Although disappointed not to take the win, Covington was optimistic about what he and the Husqvarna team can achieve this year,
"Once again we showed the overall victory was well within our reach and I’m a little bit disappointed for finishing second overall for the third time in a row. I am happy with where I’m at in terms of my speed and stamina and I need to work on my second moto performances. I can’t thank enough my team for their great support and I am looking forward to the following GP here in Indonesia.”
The TC 250 promises comfort and control in all riding conditions. An improved 2-stroke engine delivers the highest level of performance in its class. The TC250 is a step above the rest in the 250cc 2-stroke class.
